Food Swap and Share

10.30 till 11.30am
2nd Saturday of the month, in conjunction with Nillumbik Repair Cafe

Venue: Frank Nankervis room

Hurstbridge Community Hub, 50 Graysharps Rd, Hurstbridge

Join us at the food swap and share each month for a get-together centred on giving, swapping, and sharing homegrown food and garden-related items. The aim of the food share is to increase community access to healthy homegrown food, build strong local relationships, and reduce the amount of food-related waste and materials going to compost and landfill. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. The swap is held in conjunction with the Nillumbik Repair Cafe, inside the Hurstbridge Hub.

As well as lots of locally homegrown food, there are often preserves and seedlings to give away, plus plants for sale from the garden team. Everyone in the community is welcome to come along, and you don’t have to be a grower to participate. There’s always plenty to share.
